How long does it take to hire a bid manager?
It depends on whether you need someone permanent or contract, and on the seniority and any security clearance involved — so treat any flat “X days” promise with suspicion. For contract or interim cover, we can often put a vetted Bid Manager in front of you within 24 hours, because our directory holds 800+ consultants whose skills, day rates and availability are already verified — and availability, after all, is not a skill, so we check both. For a permanent hire, expect a working shortlist in roughly one week: we’re not starting from scratch but drawing on the UK’s largest specialist network of 12,000+ registered bid professionals. What matters more than raw speed is the quality of that shortlist — one in three candidates we put forward to interview goes on to receive an offer, so you waste far less time interviewing the wrong people. Tell us your deadline and we’ll tell you honestly what’s achievable.
What's your placement guarantee?
We back every permanent placement with a free replacement and a rebate, so you’re protected if a hire doesn’t work out. If an engagement ends early — because the candidate leaves or you lawfully bring it to an end — we look to replace them first, at no further fee: where it ends within the first 28 days, you give us two weeks to find one suitable replacement against your original brief. If we can’t find a suitable replacement (or a replacement themselves leaves early), you become eligible for a rebate of the introduction fee on a sliding scale — 50% if the engagement lasted up to 14 days, 30% from 15 to 28 days, and 10% from 29 to 42 days. A few standard conditions apply and our full Terms & Conditions govern, so we’ll always set them out in writing before you commit. What keeps all of this rare, though, is the quality of the shortlist: one in three candidates we send to interview is offered the role.

You can search the directory by skill, sector, clearance, day rate and location, and we handle the contract governance, confidentiality and IR35 compliance so you don’t have to.
