An experienced Bid Writer and Journalist who has worked on large bid submissions for leading UK engineering and construction companies and has also written for radio, television, magazines and websites. They bring a jargon-free, storytelling approach to proposals, explain complicated concepts in plain English and simplify technical language so that the question is answered and readable. They will rigorously ensure the inclusion of the why - not just the what - clearly identifying benefits to the customer and tailoring each response to incorporate relevant customer objectives.

Experience

More than 15 years' experience writing long and short-form copy for a wide range of communications including television and radio news, magazine articles, web pages, blogs, thought leadership articles, press releases and social media. Now an experienced Bid Writer for sectors including Construction - particularly Schools, Framework Tenders, Local Authority Highways Management and MoD Facilities Management contracts.

Key skills include storyboarding, interviewing subject matter experts, extracting and writing case studies and evidence and creating eye-catching, readable, customer-focused documents. They work with graphic designers to create graphic elements to help tell the story and improve understanding. They will compile and implement a style guide to deliver proposals in a consistent, brand-appropriate tone of voice.
