We are thrilled to publish the first issue of Bidding Quarterly Tech. BQ Tech is a new, standalone digital publication focused exclusively on the tools, technologies and thought leadership driving measurable improvement across the global bid and proposal profession.
This first edition brings together a range of perspectives from trailblazing organisations at the forefront of bid tech who are actively shaping the tools and influencing how the profession evolves.
In a market redefining itself in real time, AI has accelerated writing speeds but has also reset the baseline for what “good” looks like. Content that once served as a differentiator now merely meets the minimum standard. As this baseline rises, competitive advantage no longer sits in speed or volume – it sits in how effectively organisations make decisions, position value, and deploy expertise. While technology can scale output almost infinitely, it cannot (yet) improve the human judgment required to decide which opportunities to pursue or how to align a business behind a compelling proposition.
The bid function is fundamentally shifting from execution to orchestration. By connecting expertise and interrogating data, the function becomes an intelligence layer that informs commercial decisions rather than just documenting them.
Leading teams are already using their “AI dividend” to focus on higher-value activities like sharper positioning and targeted, personalised responses. They aren’t just submitting more bids; they are submitting better ones that align directly with revenue.
A massive thank you to our partners – Brainial, Strategic Proposals, AutoRFP.ai, Upland Qvidian, QorusDocs, Altura, Loopio, Responsive, Visible Thread, Proposal Flowz, and Prosfora – for sharing their hard-won intelligence.
