Acceptable Use Policy
Updated October 2026
PLEASE READ THE TERMS OF THIS POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE SITE
What’s in these terms?
This acceptable use policy sets out the content standards that apply when you upload content to our site, make contact with other users on our site, link to our site, or interact with our site in any other way. It should be read alongside our website terms and conditions.

This policy is also incorporated into, and forms part of, our Job Advertising terms and conditions. If you place a job advertisement with us, breach of this policy is a breach of those terms and we may remove your advertisement under them.

Job advertisements
These standards apply to every job advertisement placed with us, in addition to the Content Standards above.
An advertisement must:
- relate to a genuine vacancy which the advertiser, or the employer on whose behalf it is placed, intends to fill;
- be placed with the authority of the employer concerned;
- name the employer, or, where the advertiser is a recruitment business advertising on a client’s behalf and the client’s identity is confidential, make clear that the advertisement is placed by a recruitment business;
- describe the role, location, working arrangements and type of engagement accurately; and
- state pay accurately, where pay is stated, and not describe as a salary any sum that is in fact commission-only, a target, or dependent on sales.
An advertisement must not:
- advertise a vacancy that does not exist, or that has already been filled, in order to collect CVs, build a database, test the market or generate enquiries;
- require or invite a candidate to pay any fee, deposit, subscription, training cost or administrative charge in order to apply for, obtain or keep work;
- promote a pyramid scheme, chain scheme, multi-level marketing arrangement, “business opportunity”, franchise or investment as though it were employment;
- ask a candidate, at the point of application, for bank details, identity documents, a passport, a national insurance or social security number, a date of birth, or payment card details;
- impose or imply a requirement as to any protected characteristic — including a requirement as to nationality, citizenship, first language or “native speaker” status — unless the requirement is lawful and the advertiser has told us the basis on which it is imposed;
- advertise work in the adult entertainment industry, work involving the sale of weapons or controlled drugs, or any other work that is unlawful in the country where it is to be performed;
- advertise unpaid work, an internship or work experience in circumstances where the law of the country concerned would require the worker to be paid;
- use another organisation’s name, logo or trade marks without authority, or imply an association with Bid Solutions that does not exist;
- direct applicants away from the application route stated in the advertisement in order to avoid our terms; or
- contain the personal data of any individual other than the advertiser’s own contact, without that individual’s knowledge.
We may ask an advertiser to substantiate anything in an advertisement, and may decline or remove an advertisement pending a satisfactory answer.
Candidates and CVs
If you register with us, apply for a role, or upload a CV, you must not:
- register or apply using a false name, a false identity, or someone else’s details;
- upload a CV that is not yours, or that you do not have the right to share with us;
- include in a CV or application any information that is materially false or misleading, including qualifications, employment history, references or the right to work;
- include in a CV or application any confidential information belonging to a current or former employer or client;
- use our site to apply for roles by automated means, or to submit applications in bulk without regard to whether you are suited to the role; or
- contact an employer through details obtained from our site for any purpose other than applying for the role advertised.
Registering with us does not oblige us to put you forward for any role, and our Website Terms of Use explain what registration does and does not mean.
Data, automated access and artificial intelligence
You must not:
- use any robot, bot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access, copy, monitor or republish any part of our site, including the job board and the Bid & Proposal Salary Index;
- extract, re-utilise or republish any substantial part of any database on our site;
- use any part of our site to compile a competing job board, salary benchmark, directory or database;
- conduct, facilitate or permit text or data mining in relation to our site; or
- use any content from our site, including job listings, salary data and CVs, to train, fine-tune or evaluate any artificial intelligence or machine learning model.
Bid Solutions expressly reserves all rights in our site and its content, including for the purposes of any text and data mining exception under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or any successor provision.
If you are a security researcher and wish to report a vulnerability, contact us at enquiry@bidsolutions.com before testing anything. We will not treat good-faith testing carried out with our prior written agreement as a breach of this policy.
Reporting a problem
If you think anything on our site breaches this policy, please tell us.
- A job listing: use the “Report a problem with this job” link on the listing, or email recruitment@bidsolutions.com. Listings are dealt with under the Listing Takedown and Complaints Policy at clause 5A of our Website Terms of Use, which sets out what we will do and how quickly.
- Anything else: email recruitment@bidsolutions.com.
- Unlawful content, including content relating to terrorism or the sexual exploitation of children, will be removed on discovery and reported to the appropriate authorities.
Breach of this policy
When we consider that a breach of this acceptable use policy has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate.
Failure to comply with this acceptable use policy constitutes a material breach of our website terms and conditions upon which you are permitted to use our site, and, where you have placed a job advertisement with us, of our Job Advertising terms and conditions, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions:
- Immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use our site.
- Immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any Contribution uploaded by you to our site.
- Immediate removal of any job advertisement, without refund where the breach is yours.
- Issue of a warning to you.
- Legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach.
- Further legal action against you.
- Disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary or as required by law.
We exclude our liability for all action we may take in response to breaches of this acceptable use policy. The actions we may take are not limited to those described above, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy at any time. The current version is always available at bidsolutions.com/aup/ and shows the date it was last updated. Please check it from time to time.
