Job Description

A major legal firm is looking for a Pitch Manager to join them on a 12 month FTC. The Pitch Manager is responsible for securing new, profitable business by responding to pitch opportunities. This role involves project managing the development of pitches and presentation materials, collaborating across practice groups, sectors, and offices, with a focus on strategic and high-value opportunities.

Key responsibilities:
– Independently manage pitches and proposals following best practice pitch process
– Evaluate pitch opportunities using the firm’s tools
– Develop the pitch strategy, including win themes and value propositions
– Scope the pitch opportunity to understand client needs and ensure our proposal is responsive
– Involve subject matter experts, such as the pricing team, to develop our proposition
– Create compelling and client-focused pitch content
– Coordinate input from contributors to ensure their input is tailored, relevant, and received with sufficient time to edit and refine
– Finalise and submit pitches in line with the client’s instructions
– Coordinate presentation rehearsals and offer advice and coaching on style, approach, and messaging
– Conduct client debriefs to capture feedback
– Assist Senior/Pitch Managers with complex pitches
– Provide advice and training to other Marketing & BD colleagues on best practice pitch techniques
– Recommend improvements to the pitch process
– Manage additional projects that support the pitch team’s priorities

Required Skills / Experience:
– Proven experience working under pressure on complex pitches and proposals
– Strong time and project management skills
– Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
– Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy
– Skilled in negotiation and influencing
– Commercially aware with strong business acumen
– Capable of handling confidential and sensitive information
– Experienced in managing a demanding workload and conflicting priorities
