Has an appetite for the interesting and particularly enjoys projects at the leading edge where "it's not all figured out yet".
Key Achievements
Led campaign from PQQ to deal close for £500m MOD contract, taking the offshore outsider to success, triumphing over major UK players. Established turnkey bid office for this offshore bidder and led the application of best practice across a diverse team. Developed partnerships, recruited advisors, managed campaign, delivered complex proposals, developed service solution and negotiated the technical deal.
Secured consortium role for sponsor company in £10bn programme. Working in the JV, produced all the key bid documents, managed the marketing campaign and led the relationship with government on industrial issues within the successful campaign.
Experience
Over 15 years' experience in business winning preceded by 10 years in market development strategy at blue chip plc. Understands 'capture / campaign' as well as 'bid', having delivered quick turnaround bids but also long-term multi-stakeholder campaigns, involving customer and political influencing at the highest levels. Accustomed to working with executive leadership and being the 'face of the company' with the customer, this associate brings experience of bid campaign management from market strategy to deal close and will provide valuable input into opportunity identification and qualification, win strategies and commercial discussions, as well as delivering compelling proposals.
Much of their business winning experience is at the forefront of availability based contracting and complex financed deals and they are able to make sense of complex business, technical and bid requirements and provide structure and momentum to responses, while implementing bid best practice.
Brings deep knowledge of Defence and Aerospace and experienced in JVs and multi-national teams, builds relationships and gets things done in large organisations with varying cultures.
