With over 8 years' experience as a Bid Writer and Knowledge Manager, working on many winning proposals. Recent examples are a £300m contract for the HS2 Enabling Works and a 10 year contract to operate and maintain Manchester's Metrolink tram system. Clients include Amey, Ferrovial, Morgan Sindall, Sir Robert McAlpine and Skanska and their experience spans the Highways, High-speed Rail, Commercial Property, Utilities, Facilities Management, Social Housing, Healthcare, Social Justice and Waste sectors.

Key Achievements

Writing for a series of successful bids, including FM services for the Home Office, Environmental Services for the Isle of Wight, Utilities Maintenance for Yorkshire Water and PQQs including the HS2 Enabling Works and Manchester Metrolink tram service.
Researched and wrote successful submissions for the local and central government awards, including for 'Apprentice Employer of the Year', 'Investors in people' and 'Workplace transformation'.
Creating bid style guides and writers guidelines.
Designing and populating a case study library and PQQ information resource.
Setting up a Knowledge Management team that went on to win the 2014 Fiona Flowers Knowledge Management award from the UK APMP.
Qualifications include a Prince2 accreditation, a Knowledge Management MBA module from the Open University Business School and 'Creating Compelling Value Propositions' from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Prince2 practitioner with excellent project and time management skills and speaks and writes fluently in French and Russian.

Experience

Over 15 years of writing and editing experience and 5 years management experience. Understands the pressures of bidding, easy to work with and integrate quickly into a team.
Core skills are writing, editing and proofreading, but as a former magazine journalist, they can turn their hand to interviewing and storyboarding, as well as advising on layout and readability.
