An established Development Manager within the Waste and Recycling sector, possessing project management, detailed negotiation skills, commercial acumen and essential leadership experience.
Demonstrable organisational skills and ability to prioritise against demanding objectives and deadlines, with a track record of successful delivery under pressure.
Experienced in municipal and commercial waste from a development and operational perspective.
Full Chartered Waste Manager (MCIWM) of Chartered Institute of Waste Management.
Key Achievements
Winning bids for a number of Local Authorities in terms of MRF processing such as Rochford District Council, Harrow Council, Braintree District Council, Tower Hamlets, Kent County Council.
Responsible for winning municipal collections tenders such as Winchester City Council, an 8 year contract worth £4m/annum and Tandridge District Council, worth £3m/annum for a 7 year term.
Involved in large scale mobilisation projects such as East Sussex and Waverley.
Experienced contract manager, from both day to day operational and commercial perspective such as negotiating extensions, indexation and variations.
Development and implementation of supplier pack company wide.
Creation of high quality case studies and reference document for business development team use.
Assistant Bid Manager on large scale PPP projects including Cheshire West and Chester and Isle of Wight.
Experience
Over 12 years' experience working at senior level reporting to board level, responsible for development projects including municipal collections, HWRC/WTS operations and street cleansing solutions. Fully capable of managing bid from end to end, writing content, managing stakeholders and project team, developing technical solutions and resource and financial models
