Beth’s background is in procurement and supplier management. She’s worked in a number of sectors over the years, starting out in aerospace manufacturing. She has also worked in financial services, media, hospitality and legal to name but a few. Her career has spanned both negotiating deals as well as managing supplier relationships, from simple projects to complex outsourcing. Before setting up her own consultancy business, Beth spent four years as Group Sourcing and SRM Director for Royal and Sun Alliance, where she created and matrix managed a global function with nine teams around the world covering a claims and non-claims spend of c£5bn.
Since she set up her business in 2011, she has worked with a variety of clients that cover, but not limited to, two broad offerings: supporting organisations when they wish to set up a new, or transform an existing, procurement function and supporting sales and bid teams when they are involved in a formal procurement process and/or are pitching/negotiating opposite a procurement person. In the latter offering, this has included reviewing pitch documents, preparing negotiation strategies, hosting live mock negotiations and one-to-one coaching.
Beth is also on the Board of Trustees for the Women in Rail charity which actively promotes rail as a career and gender equality within that sector.
