Alana has been a Head of Bids in the construction industry for the past 15 years, working in public sector competitive tendering. Her bidding experience covers planned maintenance and capital works, Repairs and Maintenance (R&M), Total Asset Management (TAM), retrofit, building safety, facade remediation, and new build. She has also managed teams in the facilities management and transactional banking industries too.

Coaching, mentoring, and life-long learning is the way Alana gets the most out of her teams. Recognising the challenges of attracting new talent to a profession that doesn’t have a professional body, she is working on a more structured career pathway for the next generation of bidders.
