Strategic Bid Manager
Job Description
A major construction organisation is seeking a Strategic Bid manager to drive national framework bidding success. In this role you will take a strategic role for major framework opportunities, while remaining hands-on in the bid process. You will also promote bid best practice within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead National Bid Service to a 100% win rate.
– Present strategic “Bid/No Bid” decisions.
– Build access to critical frameworks.
– Set winning strategies and oversee high-impact bids.
– Manage top contributors for a high-performance bid team.
– Continuously adapt the bidding service to market demands.
– Lead the Bid Leadership Forum for collaboration and innovation.
– Enhance content quality with the Knowledge Service team.
Required Skills / Experience:
– Experience of strategic bid management within construction.
– Strong relationship building skills within internal and external clients.
– Experience of bid writing within the construction sector.
– Proficiency in resource/time management platforms.
– Strategic mindset with humility, creativity, resilience, and inspiring leadership.
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (desirable)
– APMP certification and InDesign knowledge (desirable).
