Profile


A versatile Bid Manager / Director with an extensive track record of winning complex bids in Aerospace, Defence, Aviation, Warehousing, Logistics, Facilities Management and Consultancy industries.

Experienced in planning, managing and delivering a wide range of bids from high value technically complex proposals to fast turnaround consultancy. Shipley trained and comfortable chairing effective colour team reviews and managing multiple stakeholders.

With a degree in Electronics, an MBA and a Masters in Leadership Coaching, this associate is particularly effective at rapidly building focused, high performing bid teams and winning bid strategies.

Won over £500m of business on MoD platforms including Type 26 Frigate, Type 45 Destroyer, Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier, Astute and Dreadnaught Submarines, Tornado and Typhoon Aircraft.
Won over £400m of business in Airports and Logistics for customers including Heathrow, Gatwick, Schiphol, Amazon, Tesco, ASOS, JD Sport.

Experience


Over 20 years' experience of leading winning bid teams. Has managed bid teams with over 50 members. Proven ability to develop and mentor teams in bid best practice. Has a background in Engineering and Programme Management and experience of bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery and will provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and solution delivery.
Has experience of successfully delivering winning bids in Defence, Training, Support Services, Professional Services, Construction and managing multiple concurrent bid teams.
Has developed and led growth strategies in to numerous industries and countries.
